Description

The Cycas Revoluta, commonly known as the Sago Palm or King Sago Palm, is a timeless plant with roots going back to the Carboniferous period, making it one of the oldest living plant species. Native to southern Japan, it can eventually grow several metres tall in nature, but indoors it is prized for its compact, sculptural look and extremely slow growth. With its strong, glossy fronds and symmetrical crown, the Sago Palm adds elegance and a touch of history to any home or office.

Cycas Revoluta is not technically a palm but a palm fern from the cycad family. Its slow growth makes it easy to maintain, and with proper care, it can live for decades. The plant tolerates a wide temperature range (0–42 °C) and can be placed indoors or outdoors, provided it’s kept out of direct midday sun. Watering should be minimal, as the roots are sensitive to excess moisture—especially in winter, when the plant can go without water for up to 4–6 weeks.

Please note: The Sago Palm is toxic if ingested by humans or pets, so it should be placed out of reach of children and animals.
