Description
The String of Bananas (Senecio Radicans) is a trendy hanging succulent with leaves shaped like tiny bananas, making it a fun and unique addition to any home. Native to South Africa, this plant naturally grows as a creeping groundcover, but indoors it thrives beautifully in hanging pots, trailing down shelves, walls, or windowsills. Its playful shape makes it a standout in modern, industrial, or minimalist interiors.
As a succulent, the String of Bananas requires very little water. During summer, water once every two weeks, and reduce to once a month in winter. You can tell when the plant is thirsty—the leaves begin to shrivel slightly. It loves bright, sunny spots and will flourish when placed directly by a window, letting its long, trailing stems cascade beautifully.
